Despite the progressively chilly weatrher today we managed to keep the snow at bay and the VSCC Driving Tests took place a month later than planned. There were some spirited performances out on the track and it was great to see cars charging down the Campbell circuit once again. All sections of the track were used with two tests on the banking, including one on the fallen leaves which made for some decidedly dicy action from some competitiors as they slithered up and down the banking. The finishing striaght, Test Hill and staff car park provided the other locations for the six tests. Whilst the paddock filled with some pristine machinery the air reverberated with the smell of hot brakes, burning clutches and melting rubber and the rasp of early engines under pressure shattered the sleepy Weybridge suburbs.
Here’s a starter with some pics- please add your own ......
