Don’t forget this event!  This event this year was just brilliant, cars everywhere. We want to try and make next years’ even bigger and better. I’m sure we will be getting some info nearer the time, but here’s what I have right now :

The Museum will be open again on New Year’s Day in 2010 for the largest New Year’s classic car gathering in the South East so if you’re not nursing too sore a head from the night before then please come along. The bar and restaurants will be open for the Museum’s traditional turkey-free New Year’s Day lunches and snacks.
All pre-1973 cars, bikes and commercial vehicles, and pre-booked club groups, are welcome through the Campbell Gate on the (B374) Brooklands Road – and all occupants of pre-1973 vehicles will enjoy a £1 discount.  If you just want to come and look at this wonderful collection of pre – 1973 vehicles, as well as the rest of the Museum and its exhibits, there will be additional parking in The Heights off Wellington Way.
Expect anything from veteran cars to Hot Rods to classic bikes - that’s the joy of this event - you just don’t know what is going to turn up!
The Museum is open from 10am, so turn up early to get a good spot!
Further information from, and club group bookings to, Donna Hopton (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 01932 857 381 ext 253).

Thanks for that - it was a great do last year with a huge variety of cars. I’ve booked my club in again so the MGFs will be present. Bear in mind that’s the only way you can park on site if you have a post 1973 classic otherwise you’ll get pointed in the direction of the Heights.

The Members bar will be open with a special invitation to Non Club Level members to join us for some “hair of the dog” after the night before !

Entry for Members is , of course, free.

I can’t think of a better way to start the new year and the club events calendar

hey all, to help out,  can you all pass the info on this event to all your ‘old car’ or ‘old bike’ friends?  Every little helps!

They’re correct if you arrive in a pre-1973 vehicle.

I think that would make it £7 for pre-73 vehicles.

No, normal admission price is £9 (plus 90p gift aid), so it drops down to £8 (plus gift) for people in a pre-73 vehicle.

I did remember to book the MGF Register in and we will be on the finishing Striaght behind the hangar with an upturned flower pot and flag ! About half a dozen of us I think - hopefully the weather will hold off -don’t mind the cold but could do without the constant rain we’ve had today.

What a better way to start the New Year? A clear blue sky and a huge crowd. Oh, did I forget to mention the vehicles??
