A lot of people are looking forward to this one….

Richard Noble is coming to Brooklands on Thursday 19th Novemebr to talk about his Land Speed Record attempts and the world record he achieved in 1983 with Thurst 2 at 633mph. Andy Green then broke the sound barrier in 2002 acheiving 763.035mph. Now both of them are teaming together to try and break the 1000mph barrier in 2011 with the Bloodhound SSC which is being designed to travel at 1050mph !

This is likely to be a sell out event so please make sure you’ve pre booked a ticket now - only £5 for members and £8 for non members.

See BTM Events on the websites.

Great talk and a full house as well. Two and a half hours of Richard Noble talking about The Thrust projects and then the Bloodhound was really interesting whilst outside the Vimy lumbered across the PAddock on the back of a low loader. Couldn’t be better !

Great contrast in power there with the stately pace of the Vimy compared the 133,000 bhp of Bloodhound.

This was a very absorbing and fascinating event.

Well done for organising and I hope to attend many more.

Both Richard Noble & Andy Green worked together on the Thrust SSC project, I met them both in a hangar in the RAE at Farnborough where the car was being built, they were freezing their n**s off untill I repaired the faulty gas heaters in their offices.
