Hadn’t really thought of Weybridge as “Country” before but BBC 2’s “Escape to the Country” did feature several sections filmed at Brooklands with the presenter being driven around the banking in an MG Midget. Later the “house seekers” were also shown around and driven along Members banking .
The programme is currently on BBC i player if you missed the transmission last night (which happened to be at the same time as the Volunteer meeting at Brooklands !).
Also interesting if you’re local to Brooklands and were ever curious about the old chapel conversion in Murray Road , Ottershaw !
