Yes - it is here already - the Members only Test Hill Day takes place on Saturday 24th October.

Take your car or motor cycle up the HIll - anything pre 1973 can be entered and anything else post73 that is “interesting” (Sports cars, Kit Cars, Hot rods etc)

Just e-mail Angela with your name, member number, vehicle type/year and reg number. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) before Saturday !

The bar will be open and there will be a jazz band playing. We have around 30 vehicles signed up so far and we can take some more so e-mail now !

For those already signed up you need to arrive via the Campbell gate from 0930 and attend the Drivers briefing at 1015am. Failure to do so will mean that you’ll miss your chance to ascend the HIll.

I’m a member of the Car Rides Team at Brooklands and will be on the lookout for anyone interested in helping us in any way. See the October/November issue of the Brooklands Bulletin for the front page report, ‘August Car Rides Raises £6,000’ and page 7 for an appeal ‘You don’t have to be mad to volunteer’.
I hope the Members Test Hill Day will be a success and persuade you to join us next week, Mon 26th,Tues 27th, Wed 28th,Thurs 29th Fri 30th October.

Thanks Trebor - I forgot to mention that there will be members of the Car Ride Team at Brooklands on Saturday so even if you havn’t got a suitable vehicle to take up the hill you can stil have a go….for a small donation !

Around 40 vehicles now signed up for this first Members Test Hill Day event ranging from a 1924 Sencahl, Bol d’Or to a 2008 Morgan Roadster.

If you havn’t signed up why not come along anyway and watch or maybe take one of the car rides and joins us for lluinch in the Club Bar with live jazz ?
