I hear a whisper that there has been a sighting of a Brooklands ghost in the last few days .

A day time visitor saw the male figure by the Merryweather fire engine in the Hangar, it actually took hold of her arm !

Just in time to put the heebee geebees into some of our staff members who were already planning to spend the night in the hanger on Halloween to raise funds for the Museum - you can donate at http://www.justgiving.com/a-night-at-our-museum/

Now they’re not so sure and Karen has just turned rather pale ! Rather them than me !

Well they made it…..there were a lot of ghostly bangings and creakings right up to about 4am when it suddenly went quiet.

The Aviation team’s alarm clock thoughtfully set for 0330am made sure they were on their toes !

....oddly enough 4am was when the two unamed “ghosts” had had enough and went home as well….hence the quietness !

You can still donate at the above site if you want to reward them for their bravery.

Er…... actually…........

Whilst locking up the Campbell shed the other weekend I thought I saw someone or something pass close behind me in the direction of the ERA shed.  I went back into the ERA but there was no one or nothing there.

Strange, eh?

I wonder if it was the same specter. Unfortunately the lady hasn’t sent in the photo she took but one of our staff members did view it on her camera at the time and there was a wispy figure shown on it.

This is the Merryweather Fire Engine in the hanger - the scene of the mysterious sighting - sadly without the ghost in this picture though.

I attended the Halloween torchlight tour and I saw the dedicated ‘ghost busters’ in the hanger.
I had a great evening touring some parts of the museum you don’t normally see.
All thanks to Donna and the Volunteers, well done! wink
