Not strictly a BTM event but we are offering Members and Volunteers a very special hospitality package.

The event itself is spread over two days this year (29th and 30th August) and is shaping it up to be one of the best yet. Brooklands are organising the motoring side of the event and the Members will have their own paddock for the first time this year along with their own hospitality area.

Our special hospitality package includes:-

Entry to Wings & Wheels
Private hospitality area (covered if wet) with good views and no crowding
Picnic lunch brought to you—no queuing
Unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day
VIP Parking for non classic cars
Brooklands Classic Paddock parking for classic/historic/sports cars

Don’t miss out this special offer

Application forms were incldued in copies of the last Brooklands Bulletin.

You can also book via the phone by ringing the BTM office mornings.

More details on the event here http://www.wingsandwheels.net

There is now an on line application form in case you have mislaid the one in your Bulletin. Remember though that this is very special price is only available to Members, Volunteers and their guests. It is not open to the general public at these prices so why not take advantage of the offer to visit Wings and Wheels in Brooklands style - the right crowd and no crowding.

Online application form Here - http://www.brooklandsmembers.co.uk/images/uploads/wingswheelsapplication2000.pdf

Me and the missus had a great time at Wings and Wheels, and have to say we thought the hospitality package was fantastic value - if nothing else it would have been worth it for somewhere uncrowded to site right on the centre of the flightline and posh loos, but the ample picnic spreads were surprisingly good too. Thanks for organising.

Highlight for me was (predictably) the Vulcan display - though the Harrier ran it a close-ish second…

Glad you liked the hospitality - it’s the first time we’ve done this so I’m pleased it worked OK.

The Vulcan is definitely the highspot - everytime it flies in the entire crowd goes silent which is quite eery and sends a shiver down the spine . Absolutely stunning. The Harrier was great as well and brings a tear to the eye as it just sits suspeneded in mid air, then goes backwards ! A fantastic feat of engineering and at the right location of course. The Typhoon as well was brilliant - how that aircraft can be so agile is beyond me and the sheer power as it slows right down almost to a stop is incredible - and ear drum shatteringly LOUD as well .

I’ve put some of my shots in the gallery - I’d love to see some other Members photos here as well…....

Yes, loved the hospitality - a great idea.  This was the first time I have been to Wings and Wheels, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tim, you say you’d like to see more members pics in the gallery.  I took a few (viewable at http://www.flickr.com/photos/spwalker/sets/72157624718571743/) and would be happy to upload them for others to see (I attach one also to this post).  Being a Newbie, I’m not sure what the possibilities are - can I upload to the gallery?  Is there somewhere else I should post?  If you (or someone) could let me know, I’d be grateful grin

Glad you enjoyed the event. You can post photos direct here or link to an outside gallery as you’ve already done. With pictures posted direct on this forum I can transfer them into the gallery - you can’t update it directly yourself.
