We set up at Enfield on Friday and this is a picture of Outrreach team leader David Norfolk in the Quest for Speed Marquee. We’re here for three days so if you’r anywhere new Enfield pop in and say hello - there’s over 2000 classic cars on display here with loads of side stalls and a fiarground for the kids

The Napier Railton will be filling the gap next to David so we havn’t really forgotten the display car !

We had a great time at Enfiled (despite my MG ZT overheating on the M25 on the way back on Friday ! It was OK -  recovery only took three hours to arrive and the armco was very comfortable - all in the name of the BTM !.)

Seriously it was a good show and busy as well, fairground, large autojumble, lots of club stands, arena displays, motor trade stands and caravans.

The Napier was a big draw and loads of people were interested in it and Brooklands. Geoff and Andrew fired it up on Sunday and thrilled the crowds in the Arena.

I took some photos as well - just for a change - here’s a selection….

1) The NR in position on the stand now that David has gotten out of the way.
2) 1950’s Airstream caravans and Nash Metropolitan
3) Four stages of Facel Vega restoration -  al ittle bit more than T cut needed on the first one !
4) A Ford pilot that wasn’t black !
5) The Quest for Speed marquee from behind the wheel of the Napier Railton
6) The Bloodhound gang were at the other end of the tent

1) Ken Fox’s Wall of Death
2) Steam power amongst the classics
3) No it’s not JET 1 but it looks like it - this is Jools Holland’s recreation but sadly without the gas turbine.
4) This though is jet powered - and has a Rover v8 for everyday use !
5) I don’t know - what is it then ? - It was on the Beaulieu stand.

1) “Ave you got any O’s ?”
2) It’s amazing what you find at these shows - jitterbugging GIs
3) Time to go home - the Napier disapears into Steve Gray’s transporter - thanks Steve.
