Remeber the old tea rooms which resembled a 1970’s works canteen ?  Well you wouldn’t recognise the place now that is has ben transformed in to the Sunbeam Cafe. It now spreads over a large proportion of the ground floor of the clubhouse and features a green, blue and cream colour scheme reflecting Brooklands heritage. There’s a new soft play area for the kids with an adjacent area for parents to sit on wicker work chairs. In the main seating area new wooden tables are complemented by pale green roll top chairs. There are separate areas for hot food, hot drinks, cold drinks, kids meals and pastries and toast snacks. The stencilling on the walls refelcts Brooklands as well with phrases such as “Re Fuel”. There are nice period touches with old workbenches being used and a small corner shop feel by the pay desk.

All in all it looks really good .....and so does the food itself !!

Well done creative Events for this transformation.

Here’s a selection of pics I took this morning before the cafe opened for the first time.
