We’re getting a problem at the moment with Spambots logging in and registering on the forum. It hasn’t been too much of a problem until recently when they’ve worked out how to send back the activation e-mail that you receive.

Consequently it’s getting hard to weed those out of the system . We need to recognise the real people interested in Brooklands from the imaginary ones !

It would be a great help if when you do log in for the first time you could just post a a short hello in this thread so that we know you are real . This would then help when deleting all the fake ones which seem to be growing at the moment.

Hopefully we can find an automatice way to do this shortly…..but it’s still nice to know that you’re there anyway !

Hi Tim, finally worked out all the problems, thanks for your help.      I’ve been meaning to become a trust member for a while, brooklands is such an iconic place and deserves all the support it can get.  I’m currently building my own dream car ( finally )  its big, its got an aero engine ( of sorts ) and its emptying my wallet !

Glad you enjoyed your visit. The volunteers are the lifeblood of the Museum and you can always find them around the site willing to chat to visitors. Lots of them have huge experience of the exhibits and the site itself having worked with them over the years or helping to restore them. Many are previous employees of BAC or airlines or associated industries. Everyone involved is a true Brooklands enthusiast and enjoys coming in to make Brooklands a great experience for our visitors.
Becoming a member helps keep you in touch through our full colour magazine the Brooklands Bulletin and of course you can find out about events etc here - sorry about the sales pitch but as I said - we’re all enthusiastic about Brooklands !
