Park up against the fence bordering the Museum near the walk through.

Bob webb and Friends - Friday 13th January

Bob Webb will be back in the club bar on Friday 13th January and will be invting a few friends along to join him in a session of trad jazz and old favourties.

It all starts from about 1230 and all club level members and guests are welcome to join us.

Brooklands All Stars - Firday 14th October

That’s right - this Friday lunchtime sees the return of the Broklands All Stars with a five piece band this time so expect some great toe tapping tunes as always but with a bigger sound !

See you in the clubhouse on Friday from noon.

Please make use of the Clubhouse bar on Thursdays and Fridays

One of the benefits of Club Level mebership is that you have the use of the 1907 Members bar exclusively on Thursday, Friday and Sunday lunchtimes

However the usage on Thursday and particularly Fridays has been very low for several years now. It is nowto the extent that it has become very hard to justify keeping it open on these days .

So the message is that unless Club Level Members and their guests use the bar on these days we will have to take the very difficult decision to close at least one of these days initially as the Caterers who run the bar (and have been heavily subsidising it for 2010) cannot continue to make a financial loss in these times of recession.

So please use the bar for your lunch and refreshment. You can usually find at least one committeee member in the bar oin a Thursday lunchtime and they will be more than pleased to chat with you and listen to your ideas about Club Level members and Brooklands as a whole.

Club Level Parking for May

Club level parking is normal this month.

Members bringing non classics can park via the Campbell gate at weekends parking as directed (usually in staff car park, by fence or behind hangar.)
During the week parking is in the “Tarvel” car park behind MBW in marked bays

Members arriving in a classic or historic vehcile can entger via the Campbell Gate at any time. Parking in the paddock is by invitation which is usally given for suitab;le vehicles. Any vehicle not conisdered as suitable by a staff member may be asked to move from the paddock area . Please abide by the member of staffs decision if requested to do so.

Club Level Parking for April

3rd April Porsche GB - behind Hangar only
10th April - MG Day - in the Heights in reserved bays by the fence.
30th April - Auto Italia - in the Heights in reserved bays by the fence.
2nd May - Emergency Services Day - in the Heights in reserved bays by the fence.

Grand Prix Sunday

We’ll be starting the season of Grand Prix Sundays this weekend with the first one of the season - the Australian Grand Prix. What will be the Oz dish of the day ?

It will be shown on the screen in the Members bar but we’re hoping to be able to move this to use the projector screen in the Chequerered Flag Room this Year technology allowing !

Brooklands All Stars - THIS FRIDAY (25th March)

The Brooklands All Stars are back this Friday lunchtime in the Members Bar from around noon.

The Bluebird Room will be open as well with extra tables so don’t worry about finding somewhere to sit.

This is the second of the Roger Ramage Tribute gigs and Roger’s family will be scattering his ashes at Brooklands prior to the event.

This time we’re featuring Chris Bass on Piano and Jim Cockburn on harmonica who will be playing duets and solo pieces from around 12.30.

Friday Session Returns - 28th January

After a short break at Christmas we’re returning with some more of our Friday Music Sessions for 2011 on the last Friday of the month.

Join us in the Members bar for a light lunch and some great live music.

To kick us off this year we welcome Bob Webb who will be bringing along his entire collcetion of saxophones to tell us about them and to demonstrate each one with some great melodies.

So join us on Friday 28th January and welcome in the New Year with a bit of swing !
