We had a great time at the BTM Xmas lunch with a full house in the Chequered Flag Room. Nice talk from Helen Mills on RAF plotting after a lovely Christmas lunch.
The winners of the Winter Draw were pulled out of the tumbler by Helen and she also drew the afternoon raffle. Museum Director Mr Wynn auctioned two signed books and raised £150 - thanks to everyone who came and contributed to an enjoyable afternoon.

The Fete Champetre last night attracted a good crowd but the weather could have been a little better. Starting off in sunshine the afternoons run to Pinewood Miniature railway was a great starter to the main event back at Brooklands. The evening got under way still in fine weather but soon the dark clouds gathered and the rain began. Hardy stalwarts carried on picnicking under umbrellas as the rain came down whilst others ehaded for the shelter of the clubhouse or race bays. The rain did clear and the Test hill runs took place as did the judging for the Motor Show. It was great to see so many people dressed in costume and the top of the pile winning the Period Picnic prize was the Mad Hatter with Alice and White Rabbit. Also winning prizes were a lovely Lagonda in the pre 1940 class, Austin Healey Sprite in the middle period and a blue E Type Jag in the Post 1970.

1) Stalwarts picnicking in the rain
2) 70’s chic
3) Alpine wet weather gear
4) MG 18/80 in period picnic competition
5) Mad hatter and Alice
6) The sun comes out again in the Paddock
7) Gangster chic
8) XK140
9) MG TD gets a wipe down
