The VSCC driving tests always provide excellent entertainment as well as bringing competitive motor sport back to Brooklands.

It’s well worth a visit on Sunday to see the vintage machinery being put through its paces.

Park up against the fence bordering the Museum near the walk through.

Getting Back to Normal

Following the Christmas break things are just getting back to normal now in the BTM office. All the new applications received since Christmas have now been processed and all the Club Level renewals have been processed in the same period. If you havn’t received a new membership pack or your new membership cards please get in touch with the office.

Direct Debit subscribers with Memberships expiring at the end of January have had their membership cards sent out on 17th January so should all have received them by now. If you no longer wish to be a member and are susbcribing by Direct Debit please send your cards back and let us know as soon as possible.

A large amount of Direct Debits for memberships expriing at the end of December were returned unpaid by the banks so please do let us know if you have cancelled your DD and no longer wish to be a member. If we don’t know it just causes more admin in trying to find out what has happened.

What is this vehicle?

Can anyone help to identify this vehicle? I photographed it at the New Year’s Day Gathering. It appears to be ex-military and I can see from a plaque on the dash that it has an association with the Citroen Specials Club. The emblem on the nose and steering wheel says “RFH”, but Google is not producing a relevant result.

Bob webb and Friends - Friday 13th January

Bob Webb will be back in the club bar on Friday 13th January and will be invting a few friends along to join him in a session of trad jazz and old favourties.

It all starts from about 1230 and all club level members and guests are welcome to join us.

Festive shutdown

The Museum is closed from Friday 23rd to Tuesday 27th inclusive. The BTM office will reopen on Tuesday Jan 3rd.

Xmas lunch

We had a great time at the BTM Xmas lunch with a full house in the Chequered Flag Room. Nice talk from Helen Mills on RAF plotting after a lovely Christmas lunch.
The winners of the Winter Draw were pulled out of the tumbler by Helen and she also drew the afternoon raffle. Museum Director Mr Wynn auctioned two signed books and raised £150 - thanks to everyone who came and contributed to an enjoyable afternoon.
