BROOKLANDS FETE CHAMPETRE 2010

A Very English Evening - Saturday 26th June 2010

 

 

Join us for a picnic in the grounds of Brooklands Museum and savour the unique atmosphere of this special place on a summers evening.

Dance to the Vyners Swing Band and revel in the 1930's heyday of Brooklands Race Track.

Admire the classic vehicles and take a step back in time, perhaps adding to the atmosphere by dressing in period costume.

As well as the convivial surroundings and company the evening will feature :-

The 18 Piece Vyners Swing Band

Vintage and Classic Vehicles

Cameo of locally manufactured vehicles

Demonstration runs up the famous Test Hill

Ride with the Brooklands car ride team

Pimms Bar and Members Bar

Prizes for cars and motorcycles in our motor show

Prize for the best period cameo of picnic, vehicle and costume

Should England be playing in the World Cup on the evening of the Fete then the large screen TV in the Members Bar will show the match.

The Brooklands Fete Champetre welcomes both Members and the Public alike, but admission is by pre booked ticket only.

Entry via the Campbell Gate, Brooklands Road, Weybridge

Gates open at 4pm for Motor Show entries

Gates open at 5pm for general public entry

Event closes 10pm

All vehicles registered on or before 1983 are eligible for the Motor Show, although replica vehicles may be of more recent registration.

Vehicles entering the Motor Show can arrive from 4pm and must be on site by 5pm

All competitions are for fun and are judged by the guests

Vehicle entries for the period dress & picnic cameo will be directed to the Paddock, space permitting.

Car Rides will be available with the Brooklands Car Rides Team around the site.
